Dr. Austin J. Garrison, D.D.S. 

 

Austin J. Garrison, D.D.S. is a 2007 graduate of The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston.  He specializes in a number of techniques including root canals, extractions, bonding, fillings, sealants, crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, dentures,  gum contouring, mouth guards, whitening, and enamel shaping. 

 

Dentistry runs in his family and has been in his blood from the start.  Dr. Garrison had the opportunity to work in his father’s dental office in Katy, Texas from a young age, learning dental techniques and patient management skills  from his father, Gary J. Garrison, D.D.S., as well as lifelong friends and mentors Tommy Harrison, D.D.S., and Mike Wells, D.D.S. 

 

When Dr. Garrison completed his dental training in 2007, his father sold his practice in Katy after a 28-year run and opened a father/son practice in the north hills of San Antonio.  Drawing on his father's experience and passion for the profession, Dr. Garrison uses his own enthusiasm and knowledge of new-age techniques to form a proficient dental team.

 

More History
In his youth, Dr. Garrison was a strong athlete and a 4-year member of the successful Katy High School football program.  He attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in three years.  After moving to Houston to attend The University of Texas Dental Branch, Dr. Garrison reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Ashley, and they were married two years later. Ashley teaches History and is the head girls' soccer coach at Lady Bird Johnson High School in Northeast ISD. Together, they have two children, Dylan and Reese.
